Jr. Ice Hawks Spring Hockey

The Delta Ice Hawks will be offering 2020 spring hockey program for players with birth years 2008, 2007, 2006 and 2005. Please follow us on social media and our website for updates!

The following Jr. Ice Hawks ID Camps dates have been scheduled at Tilbury Ice, cost is free:

January 5th, 2020:
Born 2005/06 - 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm
Born 2007/08 - 3:45 pm to 4:45 pm

Interested players:

2020 Spring Program will offer designated head coach per team,  an assistant coach, 2-3 local tournaments, and 20 ice sessions (including practices, skills, exhibition games; uniforms and team swag).   

This year's coaches are:

Head Coach - Steve Robinson, Delta Ice Hawks

Steve is the Head Coach and General Manager of Delta Ice Hawks. In the 2017/18 season, Steve led the Ice Hawks to the PJHL Championship title and silver in the Cyclone Taylor Cup Provincial Championship. Steve also received a prestigious PCAHA Coach of the Year in the same year, leading Seafair Bantam A1 to the Western Canadian Championship. 

Head Coach - Frank Centanni

Highly regarded North Delta Minor Hockey Association's Coach of the Year Frank Centanni started as a power skating instructor in 1989 and is currently a head coach for North Delta Bantam A1 team.  Frank’s coaching philosophy is centered around balance, with a focus on building player confidence. He likes working towards building a well-rounded player that enjoys their hockey experience while learning to develop both technically and mentally. His goal is helping players to learn, accept and welcome adversity, and learn to use it to push themselves beyond their personal limitations. Frank aims to build a “no fear of failure” mindset and providing a positive environment with clear expectations around behavior, work ethic, respect, and team work.

Head Coach – Joe Pierri

Joe has been coaching rep minor hockey in Richmond for 5+ years from pee-wee to midget.  He is currently coach for Richmond Jets Bantam A2 team and teaches hockey skills at the Arbutus Club. Joe works with kids in his day job and has an excellent temperament and ability to communicate to players.

Head Coach – Cam Cuthbert

Currently, Cam is an Assistant Coach for Delta Ice Hawks. Cam was the Delta Ice Hawks’ captain during 2016/17 season, leading the team in scoring with 59 points (15G and 44A) in 59 games. Overall, Cam played 130 games in his career as an Ice Hawk. He played his minor hockey with the Seafair Minor Hockey Association, joining the Hawks as an affiliate in the 2012-13 season. During that season, Cam played with his brother Ryan, who was an alternate captain for the Hawks. Cam is giving back to the hockey community by officiating at above minor hockey level and coaching for the Delta Ice Hawks, Richmond, and youth spring hockey.  

Skills development: Justin Rai - Kaivo Hockey

Justin is the founder of Kaivo Hockey. He grew up in the Lower Mainland playing for the North Shore Winter Club for the majority of his minor hockey career. He began his junior hockey career playing Junior B for the Richmond Sockeyes. He played the next 3 seasons in Junior A for the Prince George Spruce Kings in the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL). Through his playing career in the BCHL, he earned a scholarship to an NCAA Division 1 Hockey East school, the University of Maine. Justin also played for the University of British Columbia’s hockey team.

Goalie Training: Magic Goalie Development

Led by veteran of goalie training Angelo Magglo, Magic has developed many elite goaltenders playing in professional and junior leagues.
