2020-21 Coaching Staff Announcement

2020-21 Delta Ice Hawks Coaching Staff

The Delta Ice Hawks are proud to announce that last year’s coaching staff of Head Coach Steve Robinson and Assistant Coaches Mike Ondzik, Cam Cuthbert, and Quinten Wideski, will be back behind the bench for the upcoming 2020-21 season.

The Ice Hawks are also happy to announce that former Assistant Coach Ken “The Goalie Whisperer” McPhalen will be returning to Delta as an Assistant/Goalie/Video Coach.

McPhalen returns to the Ice Hawks following 2 seasons with the BCHL’s Nanaimo Clippers in a similar position, and he is excited to come back to Delta.

“The Ice Hawks are already blessed with a great coaching staff, and I look forward to rejoining the group and adding my experience to help drive the team to a Cyclone Taylor Cup championship. My last time here with the Ice Hawks, we fell one game short of that goal, so I view this as an opportunity to take care of some unfinished business. I hope that the Ice Hawks are successful in their bid to host the CTC, as it would be a tremendous boost to be able to play in front of our hometown fans. Great for the team and great for the community,” said McPhalen.

He and the rest of the coaches will be behind the bench once the season begins, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is unclear when that will be. Please keep an eye on our website and social media channels for schedule updates.
