DELTA, B.C. – A hair-pin turnaround from regular action sees the Delta Ice Hawks diving talons-first into their first round playoff match-up on Monday, after having just finished the regular season at home on Saturday.
The Chilliwack Jets got the last bit of separation they needed on Saturday to vault past Delta for the 3rd seed in the Tom Shaw Conference standings, while on the same night, the Coastal Tsunami sand-bagged the Langley Trappers. These results near-simultaneously set the stage for the playoffs, with Delta dropping to the 4th seed and Coastal ascending to the corresponding 5th seed.
