DELTA, B.C. – With the regular season now concluded, the Delta Ice Hawks have a new face atop a pair of franchise records.
On February 7th at Sungod, graduating forward Colin Jang assisted on Landon Jassmann’s third period power play goal, giving him 117 apples in an Ice Hawks uniform. This was enough to seize the franchise record for all-time assists, previously held by Carson Merriman.

Jang’s pursuit of the record books did not end there, as he notched a power play goal in that same period to begin his chase of the next milestone.
Over the next three games, Jang accrued a goal and four assists to leapfrog Merriman for the all-time points record, dramatically culminating with a short-handed third period marker against the Chilliwack Jets on February 21st. His assist on Brogan Kennedy’s goal later that frame added some light statistical padding to a junior hockey career well played.
Over the course of 143 games played as an Ice Hawk, Colin Jang completes his regular season tenure with an exemplary stat line of 63 goals, 121 assists, and 184 points.
Catch Jang and his Ice Hawks teammates in playoff action, as the Tom Shaw Conference Quarterfinals get underway on Monday, February 23rd at 6:45pm versus the Coastal Tsunami. All games, home and away, are broadcast on FloHockey, available by subscription.
