DELTA, B.C. – Mercifully, the Delta Ice Hawks were granted a week of rest after the trials and tribulations experienced a week earlier against the Chilliwack Jets. Refreshed, recharged, imbued with new purpose as they rallied around teammate Noah Hoglund whose injury recovery continues at home, Delta found themselves up against a Langley Trappers team that had bested them twice in shootouts earlier in the season. Surely there was no way that Armaan Kaila and Beckham Brossard would go to a third shootout against each other in the same season…
…right?
