RICHMOND, B.C. – The Delta Ice Hawks scored some big goals on Tuesday night, to say the least. Naturally, the Hawks had been feasting as of late, outscoring their opponents 34-11 in only the last five games. With the series shifting quickly to Richmond’s Minoru Arena to accommodate ice availability, Game 2 of the Tom Shaw Conference Finals and Tunnel Series rivalry belt proves to be a nexus point in the playoff journeys of both teams; for Delta, the plan is to stoke the offensive flames as hot as they can burn. For the Richmond Sockeyes, the mission is to stifle the oncoming offense and gain a foothold in the series.

• Making his Delta playoff debut, affiliate forward Cruz Waltze suited up in number 14 and rolled into action.

THREE STARS
• Delta Ice Hawks forward Louie Sim strengthened his team’s resolve in the second period, restoring a five-goal lead and swinging the momentum back to the Ice Hawks. His efforts earned him third star honours.
• Delta Ice Hawks forward Grady Lenton had two massive goals – the top-line beauty in the first period, and the exclamation-mark tally to start the third, a gallant night for tonight’s second star.
• Delta Ice Hawks forward Beckett Cross joined the goal-scoring conga line in the first period, and struck again in the second period to keep the Ice Hawks in the driver’s seat,
The Delta Ice Hawks swept the three stars on the road, a significant achievement to be sure. The top performer for the Richmond Sockeyes was forward Nicholas Noren, who broke his team’s goose egg with a power play goal and added an assist for a two-point night.
