A four-goal third period boosted the Delta Ice Hawks to a 6-2 win in Mission against the Outlaws in the first meeting of the two teams this season.
The only goal in the first period came off the stick of Rajun Parmar, who fired low blocker side from a tough angle just 1:11 into the frame to put the Hawks up 1-0.
Marcus Bromhead doubled the lead on his own, forechecking while on the penalty kill in the second period, by stealing the puck from the goalie behind the net and scoring into the yawning cage to make it 2-0.
AJ Frigon and Ashton Holbech evened the score for the home squad to make it 2-2 after 2, before the Hawks went off in the third.
Parmar’s second of the game came after Beckett Cross put pressure on the puck in front of the net and Parmar picked it up to fire a quick backhand into the net to regain the lead.
Later on during a power play, Ryden Mathieson carried the puck from around the centre line all the way down the right wing towards the net with little pressure and beat Carter Greenway with a wrister for a 4-2 Delta lead.
Brandon Petrie lasered one of his own through traffic at about the 14-minute mark of the period, his fourth of the season, to put the game out of reach.
Then Mateo Sjoberg added to his already impressive goal total with his twenty-seventh, this one coming on a late power play to make the final score 6-2 Hawks.
