The Ice Hawks are back on the winning side following a 5-2 win in North Vancouver against the Wolf Pack on Saturday night.
New Hawks goalie Imaree Dhaliwal locked down his first PJHL win, stopping 24 of 26 in his second start of the season.
The only North Van goals came in the first period, one short-handed from Cameron Moore and one on a power play from Jason Scott, making it a 2-0 lead for the home team after 20 minutes.
Nicholas Goyer scored his third of the season to open the second period, taking a faceoff win from Mateo Sjoberg and firing it past Wolf Pack goalie Sam Bastien to bring the Hawks within one.
Just over a minute later, Beckett Cross stole the puck in the neutral zone and made moves around two defenders, giving him an open shot on net, wristing it far side on Bastien to tie the game up 2-2.
In the third, the Hawks never looked back, scoring three to lock up the win. Brogan Kennedy scored his first PJHL goal, tipping in a shot from the point for his first of two on the night.
Declan Warburton, who has already scored in four out of the five Hawks games so far this season, netted his fifth of the year on a big rebound in the slot on the power play to give the Hawks a two-goal lead.
Kennedy wrapped up the scoring with a little help from the North Van defence – who blocked a pass Kennedy attempted to make through the slot, but the bounce off the defender slid into the net, making it a 5-2 Hawks final.
