The Hawks made it two wins in a row on Wednesday night, defeating the Aldergrove Kodiaks 4-1 on the road.
Just 1:19 into the game, Carson Merriman snapped a shot by Rahul Sharma on an early power play, one of three goals in the first period for the visitors.
Kyle Robinson added on four minutes later, taking a pass and making a move through the legs of a Kodiak defender, giving himself lots of space in their end. He took a shot from the top of the slot and beat Sharma glove side.
Four more minutes after that, Henry Smith got the puck on the right wing and cut into the middle, firing his tenth of the season for a 3-0 lead.
Aldergrove got their lone goal of the game on a power play later in the period, making it 3-1 after 20 minutes.
Delta regained their three-goal lead in the second period while on the penalty kill. Robinson held the puck in the Aldergrove zone and was able to hold off two defenders until Yuji Akimoto was able to break free and get open for a pass. He skated right past his defender and dragged the puck to his forehand for a short-handed goal on his 20th birthday.
