Saturday night’s game in Mission was a tight one between the Delta Ice Hawks and the hosting Mission City Outlaws, with the Hawks taking home a 2-0 win.
Zach Shaughnessy tallied his league-leading fifth shut out of the season, stopping all 28 shots he saw in the game.
The only goal for the majority of the game came about midway through the first period, when Caelan Mander followed up on a shot from Carson Merriman, putting away the rebound from Max Fowle.
With a minute left in the third, the Outlaws pulled their goalie while also on the power play, but with seconds left, Ryan Bal fired a shot down to the empty net from behind the Hawks’ blue line, finishing off the scoring and sealing the 2-0 win.
